What Is a Tube Sheet?
The tube sheet is a critical component in a bag filter. It is a flat steel plate with precisely arranged holes. Each hole holds one filter bag. The tube sheet separates the dirty gas chamber from the clean air chamber. Dust-laden gas enters below the tube sheet. Cleaned gas exits above the tube sheet. No dust can bypass the filter bags because the tube sheet seals the gap between the two chambers.
Laser Cutting for Precision Hole Patterns
Laser cutting creates holes with exact diameters and precise spacing. Hole diameter tolerance is maintained within ±0.5 millimeters. Hole spacing is accurate to within ±1 millimeter across the entire plate. Laser cutting produces clean, burr-free hole edges. Burr-free edges prevent damage to filter bag cuffs during installation and replacement.
Hydraulic Forming for Flatness
Large hydraulic presses flatten the steel plate before cutting. Flatness is critical. A warped tube sheet will not seal properly against the filter bag cuffs. Leaks at the tube sheet allow dirty gas to bypass the bags. Bypassed dust causes high emissions and short bag life. Hydraulic forming ensures the tube sheet remains flat under operating conditions.
Material Selection
Tube sheets are manufactured from carbon steel or stainless steel. Carbon steel is suitable for most applications. Stainless steel is used for corrosive environments such as waste incineration, chemical processing, or high-moisture flue gas. Plate thickness ranges from 6 to 20 millimeters depending on filter size and operating pressure.
Quality Assurance
Each tube sheet is inspected for hole diameter, hole spacing, flatness, and surface finish. A light test verifies that no light passes between the tube sheet and a test bag cuff. This ensures a tight seal in actual operation.
Custom Sizes
Haihui can produce tube sheets for any bag filter make and model. Round, square, and rectangular configurations are available. Custom hole patterns are accommodated. This capability supports both new filter manufacturing and replacement tube sheets for existing filters.
