Technology Background
The PPCS series air chamber bag filter was developed based on technology acquired from Fuller Company in the United States. The design also incorporates advanced dust collector technology from Germany. The result is a high-efficiency bag filter.
The PPCS series combines the advantages of compartment reverse-air cleaning and pulse jet cleaning. It uses high-energy cleaning with a compartmentalized offline cleaning design. Key features include high cleaning intensity, fast cleaning speed, short cycle time, strong adaptability, high dust removal efficiency, and long filter bag service life. Emission concentration is reliably maintained below 20 mg/Nm³.
Applications
The PPCS series is widely used in cement plants for dust collection at crushing systems, packaging systems, silo tops, clinker coolers, and various mills. For coal mill dust collection, additional explosion-proof and fire-prevention measures are required, with corresponding structural modifications to the collector.
The filter is also suitable for very high dust concentration gases. In grinding systems with O-Sepa separators, gas dust concentrations can exceed 1000 g/Nm³. The PPCS collector can handle such high loads without a separate cyclone pre-separator.
Beyond cement, the PPCS series is used for exhaust gas collection in metallurgy, chemicals, machinery, and industrial boilers.
Filter Bag Materials
Standard filter bags are made of polyester needle felt. Continuous operating temperature is below 120°C. For higher temperatures, aramid needle felt (Nomex) is available, allowing operation up to 210°C. However, aramid material is significantly more expensive. If exhaust gas temperature exceeds the filter bag rating, cooling measures must be installed before the gas enters the collector.
Design Specifications
The filter is designed for outdoor installation. Various sizes are available with different numbers of compartments and different numbers of bags per compartment. The collector can operate under negative or positive pressure without basic structural changes. Treated gas dust concentration is below 20 mg/Nm³.
