However, each material handling system has unique characteristics. Conveyor length, belt speed, load volume, material properties, and environmental conditions all influence idler selection.

Customizable Dimensions

Idler length is determined by belt width. Standard lengths suit common belt sizes, but non-standard widths are accommodated. Tube diameter affects load capacity and deflection. Larger diameters support heavier loads with less sag. Wall thickness is selected based on impact resistance needs. Thicker walls withstand heavy lump material better.

Bearing and Seal Options

Bearing size and type are selected according to calculated load and expected service life. Standard bearings suit moderate loads. Larger bearings handle higher radial loads and extend operating life. Seal configuration depends on environmental conditions. Simple labyrinth seals work for clean, dry environments. Multi-stage labyrinth seals with added contact elements protect against fine dust. For wet or washdown conditions, enhanced water-resistant seals are available.

Shaft Customization

Shaft diameter is calculated based on load and deflection limits. Shaft material options include carbon steel, stainless steel, or alloy steel. Shaft ends are machined to fit specific mounting arrangements. Flat positions, threads, or retaining ring grooves are added as required.

Surface Protection

Tube surface treatment is selected based on corrosion risk. Standard paint suits indoor, dry applications. Zinc-rich primer with polyurethane topcoat provides better protection. Electro-galvanized coating offers corrosion resistance for humid environments. Hot-dip galvanizing protects against severe outdoor, marine, or chemical exposure. Stainless steel tubes are available for the most corrosive conditions.

Quality Control

Each custom idler undergoes dimensional verification, rotation resistance testing, seal integrity check, and coating inspection. Test reports are documented and traceable.

Order Process

Customers submit application details. Haihui engineers prepare drawings and specifications. Approval is obtained before production begins. This systematic approach ensures correct fit, reliable performance, and long service life.
